and those interested in adoption. NAFA is actively involved in
education, advocacy and support for its nearly three hundred member
families located throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.

the whole life experience of Eastern European orphan children and to

The Northwest Chapter of
Families with Children from China is an organization of families with
children from China. FCC sponsors events in the Portland area including
a Chinese New Year's celebration and an annual summer heritage camp.
The organization also has an email list serve, quarterly newsletter and
publishes an annual directory.

International

Chosen International is a
faith based post-adoption organization that provides emotional,
educational and spiritual support ot encourage andhelp strengthen
adoptive family relationships. This non-profit organization's programs
include Teen Camps and Parent Conferences.
OREGON FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN FROM
GUATEMALA
This is a group of around
70 families in Oregon. Who have 3-4 social gatherings each year.
There is a yahoo group where families can share information, ask

Northwest Ichild (India)
exists primarily as an email group on Yahoo! Most members are families
who have adopted or plan to adopt a child from India. The group also
welcomes families who have adopted or are planning to adopt children
from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. They are open to
anyone with a sincere interest in the issues relating to the adoption
of children from these countries.

Families with Children
from Vietnam is an adoption support group for families who have adopted
or are in the process of adopting from Vietnam or individuals with
interest in Vietnam and adoption. Their purpose is to meet other
adoptive families, share experiences, and learn about Vietnamese
culture. They have several events and meetings throughout the year. All

Korean Focus NW sponsors
educational events, such as museum visits and Korean language and
cooking classes; organizes informal picnics, playgroups, and a popular
family camping trip each August; and celebrates Korean holidays,
including Lunar New Year, the fall harvest festival Chusok, and
Children’s Day in May. It is an organization in which education and
mission come together with feasts of bulgogi and mooncakes, giggling
children playing hide-and-seek, and lots of camaraderie.

Network is a non-profit organization that seeks to maximize the
Vietnamese adoptee experience in a caring, supportive environment by
networking them to other Vietnamese adoptee’s and community resources.

CUB is a national
organization serving those touched by adoption and others who are
concerned about adoption issues. Although our focus is on
birthparents, long the forgotten people of the adoption
community, we welcome adoptees, adoptive parents, and
professionals. We find that we all have much to learn from each other
and that sharing our feelings and experiences benefits all of us.
