Cyndi holds a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical
Psychologist in Washington and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon.
She
has over 20 years of experience working with children through adults as individuals, couples,
and families. Cyndi currently works in an independent practice with specialties in adoption
and attachment, step parenting, abuse, oncology and medically related concerns. Cyndi
offers supervision for LPC and
LMHC licensure.

Cyndi’s philosophy and passion is to help children and adults increase their emotional stability
and develop satisfying and nurturing relationships. She works with clients who are struggling
with adjustment to trauma, loss, grief and bereavement, who have anxiety and/or
depression, by providing assessment, counseling, education and support. Cyndi believes that
both domestic and international adoptions can present challenges at any
stage of the individual or family’s life-cycle. Drawing upon the unique strengths and skills of
each individual/family, Cyndi utilizes a variety of therapeutic interventions to meet the
emotional needs and behavioral challenges clients present. In addition to traditional
counseling skills, Cyndi often makes use of interventions that come from her extensive
training in the theory and techniques of play therapy and expressive arts therapy-
psychodrama, art, sandtray, poetry, movement, and body-oriented therapeutic techniques.

Cyndi received her doctorate degree form Antioch University Seattle. She has also earned
post-graduate certificates in Adoption and Foster Care, Medical Family Therapy, Primary Care
Behavioral Health, is a Certified Expressive Arts Therapist, and a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Beyond private practice, Cyndi develops and co-facilitates groups and retreats for women
with cancer and for children whose parent has a diagnosis of cancer in collaboration with
Cancer Care Resources and Providence Hospital. She has been an invited guest lecturer on
topics related to: stress reduction;
couples and intimacy; expressive arts in counseling;
and  the psychosocial aspects of living with cancer.
